Hakan Celik, CFP®, ChSNC™, CDFA®
Partner, Senior Financial Advisor
Hakan started working at Generali as an intern back in 2005 while attending Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick, where he attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers College. he decided to stay with Generali full time after graduation, as he saw the positive impact Generali had on clients’ lives and enjoyed how everyone worked together to give the client the best possible service.
Hakan went on to receive his Series 65 certification shortly after graduating which allowed him to make investment recommendations and move into his portfolio management role. he then began attending client meetings and realized that he really wanted to help clients with more than just their investments, so he attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation in 2015.
After noticing unique financial difficulties in families that have a family member with special needs, he wanted to learn more about how to help with their financial planning needs and earned his Chartered Special Needs ConsultantTM designation in 2017. Additionally, in 2020, Hakan went on to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. Having gone through a divorce himself, he knows the emotional and financial toll it can have on someone’s life and wanted to be a better resource to help those going through it stay on their feet. he is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) in order to network with those in the industry and keep up to date on any new technologies and best practices.
Hakan now prioritizes his service to clients, while overseeing our portfolio management team to ensure that client portfolios are traded and rebalanced appropriately.
Outside of Generali, Hakan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and especially with his daughter, Juliette. he likes to stay active, and you can find him at many 5k races that support various charitable causes.
